I personally believe that the Chamber of Commerce is the one organization that can bring all of the communities’ businesses together to work towards enhancing the business and economic climate of the area. The Board of Directors is made up of local business people who know that their best interest is helping to foster the general welfare of the community for its citizens. We support the chamber because we know a healthy chamber of commerce makes for a healthy and economically sound community. –Sherwood Moody, President and CEO of Claremont Savings Bank
Being a member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce has helped Valley Regional Hospital become more connected with our neighbors and businesses in our local community. As Chamber members, we have enjoyed participating in many of the events that are beneficial to the community. Valley Regional’s partnership with the Chamber is to make Sullivan County a better and healthier community in which to live and work. –James Boden, Valley Regional Hospital
My company has been a member of the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years. I have watched the progression of the Chamber membership from a small group to reaching out to many more members of the business community, swelling its membership considerably. I attribute this to proactive leadership sensing the needs of its community members.
The Chamber serves my business as a social outlet for promoting myself and my product through interaction with its members at its many fun events. It affords my company an advertising media through its monthly newsletter and area maps. It celebrates our community with its Fall Festival, Chamber Auction, holiday festivities, Business After Hours, and Winter Carnival sponsorship, which in turn helps my business to promote our market area.
An investment well worth its value!
